World Beater – An adventurous Camel Safari across the desert

For all those game lovers out there, here’s an interesting game – World Beater. As the name suggests, you have to play to ensure that you prevail as a world beater. Gamers Jessica Gabriel and Bill Harb created World Beater, an entertaining and thrilling game that can have you playing for hours.

The central character for this game is a cute camel, who takes on a desert run challenge.  The game begins with a desert scenery; the camel runs out of a monument and looks out into the horizon. He has to make a dangerous journey across the desert to reach an oasis at the far end. The player has to help the camel make this journey by navigating him across the desert. There is a route map to be followed and the game has several interesting challenges too!

Once the game begins, the camel would start running, and you would have to tilt your screen to navigate and direct the camel as per the map. All along the way there would several barrels of water that the camel has to collect to keep him from getting exhausted, but you have to collect barrels with caution! Some of the barrels may contain poison which would take him down.

 

During his journey, the camel has to negotiate other obstacles like cacti all along the route. The desert is home to a wide variety of cacti – short ones, tall ones, thick ones and thin ones. The camel has to carefully make his way by avoiding these prickly plants. He also has to stay clear of snakes, tornadoes and quick sand. If you think you can play it safe by sticking to the sides, there’s a surprise! You may trigger vulture attacks if you go too near the path boundaries. It truly is a thrilling game to play especially as the desert run challenge takes on several twists.

To combat these dangers, World Beater has some awesome power ups too. You could get the ship of the desert to fly too. Grab the wings you see hanging above the camel or on palm trees by jumping over them. These wings would help the camel fly over thick growths of cactus or any suitable obstacle. Once the camel has crossed a milestone, he gets a magic lamp. The magic lamp bestows a second life to the camel when activated.

The path to the oasis consists of three logical milestones - the city, the monuments and the oasis. The magic lamp will appear when the camel crosses a milestone. So the lamp would appear just twice throughout the game.

The challenge is to keep up with the pace of the camel and safely lead him to his destination by overcoming all the obstacles and replenishing his energy during the game by collecting sufficient barrels of water.

A fun and interesting game to play, World Beater gives a whole new meaning to desert run challenge games. It would be hitting the App Stores soon.
